This
is a great beginning of Buffalo Valley, North Dakota saga and again Debbie
Macomber’s style and insight shines through. I always try to appreciate
what an author put into each book instead of taking for granted that she
has presented many other great books; so this one will be great, too.
She brings her personal touch to one of life’s everyday events – the similarities
and differences between people – he’s a little bit country, she’s a little
bit city.
In
need to change her life, Lindsay Snyder returns to her grandparent’s home
that she remembers from childhood. Lindsay as well as adding spark
to her student's lives as a teacher, add spark to Gage Sinclair's life.
This
is also the story of a town and you will “join” Lindsay and the Buffalo
Valley community. The characters are very well developed and interact
with each other believably. As you become part of this small town,
you will await further installments in the upcoming books. I think
that is one of the best compliments I can give – that the story drew me
in and the characters became real enough that I want to know more.
